Dream Theater A Dramatic Turn of Events Review

The kings of progressive metal, always striving for perfection regardless if it is on vinyl or live. When Mike Portnoy, founding member and one of the composers in the band decided to fill in for the late drummerr of Avenged Sevenfold things started to get tricky.
The rest of the band members waited for Mikes return from hiatus but on the contrary he stated that he would leave Dream Theater. This surpriced us greatly, you better have things figured out if you decide to leave an established act. Mike however seemed to end up doing pretty much nothing. Word is that Mike will sue the band over him being fired from the band. Strange.
It is easy to conclude that the album title has something to do with the departure of Mike Pornoy but this has been denied by the band that claim that the album touches upon themes of dramatic changes such as mental, physical and religious/spiritual witout having anything in particular with the departure of the drummer in question.
Regardless of reason, Dream theater has realeased a great album, John Petrucci and James La Brie surelly have stepped up to the plate and made
A Dramatic Turn of Events everything that we everything that we posibly could expect and far more. The variation on the album is absolutelly stunning. there are just about any musical element that you could expect Dream Theater to pull out of the sleve here. Musicaly
A Dramatic Turn of Events resemble Scenes From a Memory slightly, but this must be the best Dream Theater album ever.
If you aren't entirelly turned off by some guitar solos and odd rythm signatures then you ought to pick up this album.
