Rob Zombie cancels remaining European live dates


 



Rob Zombie has issued the following update:

"I am sorry to say all shows after June 26th had to be canceled. It is not because I am sick, it is not because we don't like you, it is not because of any of the rumors. Things have taken place that made us have to return to the U.S. after the 26th. We hate canceling and feel bad about this. It is a total drag on every level. We were looking forward to all these shows, will return and make it up to you." He added, "To clear up this new confusion. No, the shows in July are not canceled. Everything after June is fine."

Rob Zombie recently welcomed ex-MARILYN MANSON drummer Ginger Fish into the current lineup of his band, replacing Joey Jordison, who is leaving to return to SLIPKNOT. The Pulse Of Radio asked Zombie if he could hear a difference in the group's sound with the new man on the kit. "It's hard to describe how they're different," he said. "I mean, you know, Joey's a very, like, more of a power drummer I would say, you know, just a more bombastic sort of drummer, and Ginger's more of a, kind of like a groove-style drummer. It's kind of funny 'cause as with anything, either style seems to work really well with our music, so it's good."

Fish played his first shows with Zombie back in February while Jordison was touring Europe with his side band MURDERDOLLS. Jordison rejoined Zombie's band for some headlining U.K. dates before departing again.

Fans will get to see Fish on the road with Zombie this summer, when Zombie co-headlines a string of North American dates with SLAYER. The trek begins on July 20 in Reading, Pennsylvania, finishing up on August 6 in Seattle.

ACCEPT New album Stalingrad

ACCEPT have set "Stalingrad" as the title of their next album, due in April 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD is once again being helmed by British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY), who worked on the band's critically acclaimed comeback effort, "Blood Of The Nations".

Symphorce call it quits

SYMPHORCE, who feature in their ranks guitarist Cédric "Cede" Dupont and singer Andy B. Franck, have officially called it quits.

Commented Franck: "Seven albums, 12 years and thousands of enthusiastic fans don't make that decision easy, but after long thoughts and lots of talks we decided together to call it a day and dissolve SYMPHORCE. The heads are dead, the timetables of our main bands packed with dates, so we feel a lack of inspiration and no possibility to record more albums, play more shows with the passion and commintment needed therefore.

"SYMPHORCE will always stand for an absolute independent type of metal, but with our latest (and last) album, 'Unrestricted', we had to recognize that we have said everything we wanted musically. It was an unbelievable, intense and fantastic time!

SCORPIONS will release "Comeblack", a collection of re-recorded versions of the band's classics songs, on November 4 via Sony. The effort will be made available as a CD and on double vinyl.
