East Coast Tsunami Fest to be Broadcast Live. Hardcore music event to be streamed with pay-per-view

DaCast, the first fully integrated, self-service platform for live streaming, today announces teaming up with OTW Concerts, Fast Break! Entertainment and Stereokiller.com to broadcast the 2011 East Coast Tsunami Fest live to audiences around the world.

"We are pleased to work with the online video service DaCast to stream our annual East Coast Tsunami Fest this summer," said Chris Mahmood, owner of Reverb, the venue where the event will be taking place. "With demand higher than expected for the 2011 festival, we saw extending our reach through a webcast to be a natural solution. This will let each band have their time in the spotlight, while DaCast will handle the pay-per-view process."VOD capability is available now over the service for both new and existing users.

The 2011 Punk/Hardcore music festival features some of the biggest bands in the genre. Blood For Blood, Shelter, Trial, 108, Shutdown, Hazen Street, Sworn Enemy and more will be playing at the event. In total, 32 bands will be streamed with live performances. Between bands, interviews and crowd reactions will be broadcast to give a more complete experience.

Through using DaCast, the event will be streamed out in high quality to those with an internet connection. Using the built in Pay-in-Play system, the video player will directly capture pay-per-view transactions. Payment methods include all major credit cards, which can be done without the need to leave the player, and also PayPal.

The pay-per-view cost is $8 per day to see the event live and online. Pre-purchases made before June 17th will be sold at a reduced rate of $6 a day.

The 2011 East Coast Tsunami Fest begins June 24th with the live stream broadcasted on June 25th and the 26th. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from www.eastcoasttsunami.com/ppv.cfm.

About East Coast Tsunami Fest 2011
ECT11 is being organized by three major contributors, all with a deep-rooted dedication to the underground music scene. OTW Concerts and Fast Break! Entertainment are two of the most well-known and reliable booking firms for punk rock, metal and hardcore shows in the state of Pennsylvania. With a combined 40+ years of experience in band support, touring and distribution, as well as being in some of the most well-known underground bands themselves. Their direct support comes from Stereokiller.com- a music based community and social networking site that is gaining ground in the market, taking on sites like the faltering Myspace Music and industry standard ReverbNation. They concentrate on the 'DIY' aspect of music, not requiring bands to be sponsored by a major-branded tour or booking agency to support acts. To learn more, please visit www.eastcoasttsunami.com.

Newsflash

ACCEPT New album Stalingrad

ACCEPT have set "Stalingrad" as the title of their next album, due in April 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD is once again being helmed by British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY), who worked on the band's critically acclaimed comeback effort, "Blood Of The Nations".

Symphorce call it quits

SYMPHORCE, who feature in their ranks guitarist Cédric "Cede" Dupont and singer Andy B. Franck, have officially called it quits.

Commented Franck: "Seven albums, 12 years and thousands of enthusiastic fans don't make that decision easy, but after long thoughts and lots of talks we decided together to call it a day and dissolve SYMPHORCE. The heads are dead, the timetables of our main bands packed with dates, so we feel a lack of inspiration and no possibility to record more albums, play more shows with the passion and commintment needed therefore.

"SYMPHORCE will always stand for an absolute independent type of metal, but with our latest (and last) album, 'Unrestricted', we had to recognize that we have said everything we wanted musically. It was an unbelievable, intense and fantastic time!

Scorpions Comeback

SCORPIONS will release "Comeblack", a collection of re-recorded versions of the band's classics songs, on November 4 via Sony. The effort will be made available as a CD and on double vinyl.

KISS zinfandel and beer

KISS and wine distributor Rewine today announced the signing of a European licensing deal to create rare rock and roll vintages of KISS-themed Zin Fire Wine and Destroyer Beer. The private-label liquors, which feature customized KISS packaging, will be available in Europe this fall.

KISS Zin Fire is a bold and fruity 2010 California Zinfandel — the result of a cool, long growing season that promoted fantastic flavor, acidity, and color.

KISS Destroyer Beer is an easy-to-drink beer in the best German tradition. A careful brewing process creates its great head of foam and a balanced flavor, like an original "Pils."

AMARANTINE changes name to CLOCKWORK SPIRIT

AMARANTINE, the Helsinki, Finland-based metal band featuring members of AJATTARA, KIUAS, LIE IN RUINS and HANGING GARDEN, have changed its name to CLOCKWORK SPIRIT to coincide with the release of its self-titled debut album. Due on October 28

Word Of Satan

Welcome maggot you are awaited.

Hi there, things are shifting around ever so slowly here at Heavy Hell, we do what we want in the pace we feel is appropriate.

Lately we have migrated the entire site to a brand new code platform, This will allow us to do awesome things that up until now have  been utterly impossible. The bad thing is that the news updates will be random at best for a while.
